Studio Roosegaarde Studio Roosegaarde,
an international laboratory for interactive projects in Rotterdam (Holland) and
Shanghai, is the home of Daan Roosegaarde (Nieuwkoop, 1979) and his team of
designers and engineers. Roosegaarde, after his graduation as an artist, post
graduated at the Laboratory of architecture, urbanism and landscape
design at the Berlage Institute Rotterdam. The
work of Studio Roosegaarde plays a leading role in the Dutch Digital Design
movement, that explores the boundaries between the human and technology. By creating
artworks that instinctively respond to sound and movement, Roosegaarde
explores the dynamic relation between space, people and technology. His
interactive sculptures are tactile high-tech environments in which viewer and
space become one. This connection between ideology and technology, results in
what Roosegaarde calls “techno-poetry”. Selected works: Liquid Space (traveling installation, 2008-2011),
Flow (traveling installation, 2007 – 2011), Dune (traveling installation, 2006
